Force DTS to be transcoded to Stereo on the fly (for RaspBMC)

Hey there,

i am not sure if this is even possible, but as commonly known, the raspberry pi is not capable of playing back DTS. Is there a way to tell the Plex Media Server to transcode a DTS Movie that is requested by the Raspberry Pi to Stereo while palying back? I noticed that this is possible when i play a movie on my iPhone. This will be transcoded to Stereo on the fly.

My Settings on the Raspberry Pi are:

Receiver capable of AC3: no

Receiver capable of DTS: no

Audio Output: HDMI

Speakerconfig: 2.0

same goes for the Settings in PleXBMC

Select audio output: Stereo

Still i alway get the DTS Stream

What am i doing wrong?

Edit: Same goes for RasPlex. I am not getting Stereo Sound on my Raspberry... There has to be a way to force a transcode, right?

Edit: Okay, PleXBMC has an Option called "always transcode". Now it works :) Is there a similar Setting in Rasplex?

Great... now it works but i obviously cannot choose which Language and Subtitle i want... Any ideas on that? Using Rasplex and Raspbmc. I would like to be able to select the stream that PMS will encode. Is that option already available?

So does this mean you got that to work for RasPlex? How?

There's a similar thread

You can set default language and subtitle for a video using the web interface of your pms.

Oh sorry, that was misleading. No it just works on PleXBMC. The newest Version even allows me to pick Audio and Subtitles and Force Transcode via context Menu.
