Hi , is it possible to use the Intelligent Transcoding with the Pi, in order to transcode only the DTS Audio ?
I'd like that feature as well. I tell RasPlex my Audio device Supports AC3 but not DTS. Still DTS get's streamed. Because of my settings the PI know tries to transcode the DTS and that eats up too much CPU and playback stutters. If that setting was read and could be used to tell the PMS to transcode the audio and leave the video as it is, it would be perfect. I kind of got that to work with XBMC and PlexBMC so I know the server can handle these kind of requests. It transcoded the DTS to AC3 5.1.
Other than that I love Rasplex already. It's awesome. Thanks alot.
I meant hardware decoding
I think the question being asked is can you implement Rasplex requesting DTS audio to be transcoded by the PMS to avoid stuttering (this may only be needed for 1080P material).
PleXBMC already does this so it is possible.
Yes that’s what i ment
Is there any Information when the dts Hardware decoding will be finished ?
I believe the PI folk already have the hardware decoding written, the issue is trying to get individual licenses.
It may not happen.

Oh ok :/ So DTS Transcoding would be great, is this planned?
So that the h.364 will be passed to the pi as it is and the dts is trancoded to mp3 by the server.

Exactly that. it would be fantastic. I used it with PleXBMC and it works great. CPU usage on the server is very low for the audio transcoding.

What Setting did you use in plexbmc so that it only transcodes DTS and not the Video? I cant get it to work. Do you know if it is possible to just transcode the video and leave dts on? The second would be cool for watching videos on a remote location that has a compatible audio system :)

The system is gone, so I can't check for sure but in the PleXBMC-thread I pestered hippojay quite a bit with this scenario and here's what I had as my last setup:
PMS:
Settings->Plex/Web->Player: Local Quality set to 20Mbps
Settings->Pley Media Server->Transcoder (Advanced Settings turned on): activate DTS-downmix (you get stereo, if you leave it off it should give you AC3 5.1)
XBMC
Settings->System->Audio: Device can output AC3 true, device can output DTS false
PleXBMC
Settings->Trancoder: Local Bitrate: 20Mbps
As for transcoding Video and leave DTS, that should be the default behaviour for PMS transcoding when you set "Device can output DTS" to true and select a lower local bitrate.
