I want to set a programme to record in the DVR. However, sometimes the TV guide shows the incorrect episode number (broadcaster’s fault, not Plex’s). For example, the guide shows episode 23 but it is should be episode 25. Episode 23 already exists in my library and because of this I can’t set the DVR to record the programme. I could understand why it would do this if the episode number and name were the same, but the name is always different. I guess Plex only looks at the episode number and not the name.
To get over this I move the episode already in my library and then do some renaming later and move it back into the library. This is not ideal. Is there a way to force Plex to record an episode number that already exists in the library if it has a different episode name?
