Decades is having a Love Boat marathon this weekend and not all the programs are recording. In this case, it’s not a Plex specific issue. It is a guide issue. If there is a 2 part episode, the guide is listing both parts with the same season and episode number, so Plex only records the first part, as it sees the 2nd part as the same episode and skips it. Technically Plex is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.
Is there a way to tell Plex to record every episode, even if it already exists in the library? Then I can go in later and rename the 2nd part as the next episode number.
Having a very similar issue. We’re trying to record the news on a daily base. Somehow it shows up with an episode number along the lines of “53/10/01” or something similar. Probably the date the news show aired for the first time? Who knows? But it’s the same episode number every day, so it’s not recording it. Sad trombone :’(
Just would like to know if there’s a way we can file issues with the EPG data. Or, if it’s on github, contribute in pull requests? Happy to help if it fixes my and some other’s issues.
