Any way to “refresh” the feed, e.g. ask the server side to check for new posts?
Bump? Several of my podcasts have released new episodes that still aren’t available in plex.
Yeah I have the same problem. I end up just putting in the RSS feed again
Ugh, that’s tedious. I’m not asking for instantaneous updates. But something that updated five hours ago should probably appear by now.
There currently is no way to manually force update a feed, though I have added it to the list of feature suggestions. Currently we ingest on an 8-hour cycle, but an improvement to shorten that is pending.

I know it’s in beta still, but that’s waay to slow. Many daily shows are released in the morning and intended for the morning commute. Appearing 6 hours later is super lame.
I don’t mean to sound ungrateful. I couldn’t be happier podcasts are coming to plex. I can live with this for now, but it needs to be way faster.
Is it at least a consistent schedule? Eg 0800/1600/0000 EST?

Ingesting is not tied to time of day. We ingest, then kick off another round when the previous one is complete. The process didn’t take this long earlier in testing, so this is definitely a high priority thing to improve. I understand it is due to the catalog size having grown dramatically since launching the beta. Work is in progress to improve the ingestion process.

Thanks for sharing! I have brought up this use case with engineering and they certainly agree it needs to be faster. Can’t make promises, but we’d like to get it down from hours to minutes.

Thank you!
Seems a lot faster today. Thanks again!

Excellent! More improvements on the way as we approach v1.
I’m seeing really slow updates. I have a private feed from Patreon added and there was new content 11 hours ago that still hasn’t appeared in Plex.
I still am waiting for an update for the “alliteration am arsch” podcast. It was updated on saturday. Now its monday.
edit: looks like podcasts where disabled on server (online media sources). I dont know why.
