Force higher remote quality?

But Tidal! But Plexerpts! But other things no one asked for!

I’d really hate to reinvent my streaming wheel, but before Plex I used Mediatomb - worked fine. Seems the general sentiment among a lot of Plex users is exactly what you’ve said here. Requested enhancements fall to the wayside, and stuff no one asked for seems to make it to release.

Another bump here…
Tired of plex and no one take care of the customers that paid for the plex pass… Just useless tools and addons being developed, and the main important stuff just left over…

No, you carry on.

I’ve got enough bans under my belt to know which windmills to tilt at - and which to walk away from.

Looks like you’re off to a good start.
(Overcrowding in the Prison System is real PITA [Prison Joke])

You’re in the wrong thread by the way.

There is no need for that kind of language, or attitude. May I point you towards our forum guidelines, as trolling and attacking like this are not something that are permitted on the forums

Did someone ping me here and then get banned?

Yes. Someone who had been previously banned just created a new account to try and circumvent the ban. Apologies for the ping you’d have gotten.

Lmao, if you have email notifications you can see what was said.

Someone else that is just as frustrated as the rest of us.

Yeah, I’ve had to try and take a step back and tone it down myself. Especially after calling out Elan.

I don’t condone the language but the attitude is warranted. This issue has been ignored for far too long. Plex needs to take a stance and explain why we’re not getting this feature. Do you realize how much extra electricity the current default consumes? Multiply that across every server operator.

We’ve already stated we’re addressing this in another thread, and work is actively ongoing. Let’s try to contain the conversation to one place, please :slightly_smiling_face:

Most definitely warranted. I agree 100%.

However, businesses only care about the fine print and their bottom line: money.

Just assume they’re all robots in the sense that if you break the community guidelines, tos, etc they will follow through.

Not saying that they’re not human, just that they’re gonna follow company policy to the tee.

Edit: they’re not their

Thanks - I wasn’t aware this was being addressed.

We ask for less complications but they bring more! A new default option

And where is this post please?

This is not server default or enforced right?

Anyway I don’t see the other thread. Can someone link to it and close this thread then?

Oof, this thread.
Ongoing for 4 years, and 0 response from Plex employees until someone breaks the forum guidelines lmao. Link the other thread please.

I have same problem not only low quality , also I cant watch plex throw iPhone or iPad from internet even when remote access is active I have good internet speed

GOOD LUCK!!! You’re gonna need it.

How has this feature not been implemented yet?. We’re server owners, we SHOULD have the ability to control this. It’s literally my only gripe when it comes to using Plex. We deserve an explanation from a Plex employee/dev, especially those of us who are paying for Plex pass. I would understand if there was some technical limitation. If it can’t be done at least push an update to all the plex clients to set the quality to automatically adjust based on connection speed by default.
