I apologize in advance if this has been asked and answered, i looked and could only find the opposite question =]
I have a lot of FLAC music content and many of my remote users enjoy listening to them, but it uses quite a bit of bandwidth in most cases and i’d really like to have plex transcode these down for remote users to something lossy to save my bandwidth.
I’ve tried specifically on two devices, a Fire TV stick and my Samsung S7 Edge (AKA pointlessly curved & slippery sided so you drop it a lot phone) and can’t seem to find a setting to get it to transcode the audio files.
I tried in settings / advanced / disable auto adjust quality and changed music quality internet streaming to 128kbps but it still streamed it as direct play (flac).
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
