Is there a way to force clients to use the same movie poster selected by the owner account?
More detail:
Plex automatically selects a move poster based on the black-box logic the agent decides. Sometimes this is the dvd cover, sometimes it is the movie poster, sometimes it is some special artwork. Neat.
I’d prefer to select the theme of the poster to fit my server (in my case, the original theatrical poster). I can change the poster on my profile, but if another user profile logs in they see the original poster selected by Plex. This can, of course, be changed by the new profile but I’d prefer to set the poster for all profiles.
Users accessing your library will see the posters you set.
The only area where Plex will show different posters is in their Discover features – that includes features like their Watchlist. While accessing media through those means, you’ll all see the same “global” standard poster. If you do so, once you click your library from the Where to Watch hub, you should again see your personalized poster.
you might be looking not at the poster as defined on your server, but rather at whatever has been selected as default on watch.plex.tv
It requires a bit of accustomization, that there might be other listings of one and the same title in different places. There should be clues on screen what you are actually looking at.
Things can get even more varied, if you have access not just to your own Plex server, but to that of a friend who has granted you access.
