Hi,
I have a large movie backup file that I would like to watch on my Apple TV 4K. The file is too big for my Synology NAS plex server to handle, so I tried to force the server to prepare a less intensive version for playback on the Apple TV. However, even if I ask for a 720p version (4Mbps), the server immediately reports that the job is Done (even when selecting 3 files like that for the transcode).
And, there are no directory Plex Versions created like when I transcoded a TV show before for similar reasons. And, only the original file is played by the Apple TV client, of course when I try it.
So, how do I force the transcoding? I include a summary of the file according to VLC below:
