I have ALL of my notification preferences unchecked and saved, repeatedly. And yet I am incessantly interrupted by Lower Left Corner Notifications. Please, fix this.
That pop-up isn’t any of the ones listed, so can’t be turned off.

If you click on the orange text in the popup, where does it take you? It should take you to the question that has been answered.
It takes me to a page of “My discussions 1 of 2”
The first page links to this thread.
And the second page links to this from 5 years ago.
Neither of which have the button for me to say if this has been answered or not.

I ‘asked’ a question recently, was inundated with forum spam, then swore to never ask another one as long as I live… 
This is a limitation of the forum software, which we can’t change. You can either change your question into a discussion or just go ahead and select any post as an answer, then you won’t get nagged again.
How does one change their question into a discussion? I see no option in the UI to do that.
This seams to happen, when you have selected “No” on a thread, and the users updates the thread afterwards.
