How do I stop the popup “You’ve asked questions that now have answers”? Is there an option to turn off this annoying popup?
Mark all the responses as answered or unanswered. It’s really annoying. But note, when you do this, the poster gets a notification to say whether you accepted or refused their answer.
I now post ‘questions’ as ‘discussions’ to avoid this awful ‘feature’.

That’s what I’m trying to avoid doing.
I was the same then got so frustrated that I did it. Got an arsey message from one person who had contributed a lot to the thread as he got bombarded with ‘Your response hasn’t answered the question’ emails.
It’s poor forum software.

Which I have done, but I still keep getting the (very annoying) pop-up. :((
Cheers.
Are you sure you’ve done all of them, maybe there’s one that’s slipped the net? It’s the most annoying forum ‘feature’ isn’t it!!!

Yes I’m sure they are all answered. If I click on the pop-up it takes me to a page showing what it thinks are the unanswered questions. None of the threads that show up have the “Has this answered your question” Yes/No available to click on.
Cheers.
I too, find this “feature” extremely annoying.
Please moderators, make it stop, make it stop . . .
It seems to be a glitch in the forum software that it gets into this state from time to time, even when all of your “Does this answer…” prompts have been responded to.
Sometimes, if you add another comment to one of your Question threads, and answer the Yes/No prompt again, it will resolve the glitch. Sometimes, a Ninja will have to do something.
It has happened to me so many times that I no longer use the ‘Ask a Question’ option. Instead, I dropdown the list and select ‘New Discussion.’
I just never use the “ask a question” selection. Even when I have a question I use the “Start a discussion” in the dropdown menu.
Also I have stopped most of the other annoyances by going into my settings and turning off notifications for almost everything. I only left those on for the small subset that I actually want to be notified about like private messages.
The problem with the notifications is not really that they happen but that they are so “In your face.” Vanilla forums seem good as far as security goes but from a usability point of view they seem designed for 5 year olds with an extra short attention span. Every part is so “busy” that it is at times almost painful to use. Fortunately a lot of the most annoying parts can be turned off to make using these forums bearable.
