Free Australian EPG Updated

Hi Australian Plex users,
XMLTV.net has now updated all the EPG files and upgraded a number of the features. Please provide feedback if you encounter any issues.

Having a problem with one show now on ABCTVHD: ‘rage’ (a music video show with multiple episodes spread across the week). Cannot record live TV or set the DVR to record this show. Other programs on that channel are fine. I suspect that it is the leading long dash that is being inserted before the rage program name (as viewed via the browsing/show feature under Live TV). I use a HDHomeRun tuner with zero problems otherwise.

sorry can you add specifics? region / time / channel number?

Region is NSW/ACT. Channel number is AHACANZ (ABCTV CH 20). Next episode is due 11:30pm 08APR2023 (local). I can replicate the problem via the Plex app on LG TV, Shield TV (Android), and the web browser. None will permit live or programmed recording of ‘rage’ on CH 20.

Apologies. Region is actually Canberra. I have just deleted and reloaded the DVR again and it is accepting the programmed recording of ‘rage’ on CH 20 for tonight.

The episode of ‘rage’ for 11:30pm 08APR2023 recorded okay, but with this title: “rage (1987) - 1900-01-01 00 00 00 - rage.ts”. Previously Plex appended the recording date/time to the file name (eg. rage (1987) - 2023-04-07 01 14 00 - rage.ts).
The follow-on episode of rage for 05:00am 09APR2023 failed to record with this Plex error message: “Could not move recorded media to destination”. Was this due to the fact that it attempted to use exactly the same file name as the episode from the night before? That is, using the default date of 1900?

not sure why plex did that, normally overwrites anyway. what did the guide say for episode info?

I think they’re on it now:

The issue in your linked forum post relates to scheduled recordings for date based episodes not recording when a previous episode is in the library - there is no actual error in the log and no attempt to record

To investigate your issue of getting errors - I would need debug server logs captured covering the recording time and end of recording and also if xmltv, would need the xmltv file used and details of what was being recorded and on what channel. If OTA, would need country, post code, lineup name, channel number, channel name and what was being recorded
