Really pleased about the free live TV feature. Thought I could use that to test plex TV functionality before purchasing Plex Pass.
However Plex Media Server states my PCTV 292e tv card is not supported:
Grabber: Ignoring (PCTV 292e) which is an unsupported tuner device.
I read a previous post with suggested questionnaire to fill in to get the tuner working as it is a Community Supported card. However I cant view the questionnaire.
Do I really need to do this to be able to get the Live TV working? How can I fill in the questionnaire if I dont have access to it?
No, it doesn’t get that far. At the first screen of the DVR Setup: Looking for compatible devices… The circle keeps going round and nothing is detected.
If I go to the console I see: Grabber: Ignoring (PCTV 292e) which is an unsupported tuner device.
I have the same issue. When using the web interface and selecting ‘Setup DVR’ it gives me a pop-up box saying ‘Looking for compatible devices…’ with a spinning wheel, which never stops/times out.
If i ssh into the box running the plex server and open the ‘Plex Media Server.log’, there is this line:

My box is built on arch linux running the latest Plex and mythtv. The tuner populates the /dev/dvb tree and has been working for many years in myth. From the guides it looks like it should appear in the web interface and just be flagged as ‘unsupported’, but that isn’t happening. have I missed a switch I need to flick?
