I have tried SEVERAL TIMES yesterday to try to play a movie from the Plex free ones and none would play. I kept getting “try again” but NONE would play.
However, all of MY movies are playing, so it has to be a problem with PLEX!
Can someone make some sense out of this. PLEASE???

I have a lifetime membership to Plex and use it from my Mac. I have almost 1000 movies and tons of TV series and my daughter, the techie installed it.
Category is: Most popular movies & TV on Plex
Movie: Walking Tall, an oldie about Sheriff Bufford Pusser going after criminals. It might be based on a true story. I saw it years ago.
However, none of the movies in that category will play and I tried most of them.
Plus, I tried a TV series and that didn’t play either.
The same message comes up on all of them:
Playback Error
An error occurred trying to play “The title of all movies here”
Then: Error code: s4001 (Manifest)
The other movies NOT in this category were able to play.
I’m just going to watch something else, for now, but thanks.

I’m sure that Plex on my Mac is downloaded from the web, directly to my Mac and transferred to my TV. I don’t think it’s technically a browser, because I have an ATT modem in the basement. My daughter is an electrical engineer/computer geek and does remote diagnostics all over the country and is able to get access to my computer from Georgia to here in Indiana. She set this system up, back in June.
However, it doesn’t make any sense that one folder of the Plex free movies doesn’t work and the other one does work. It’s totally incongruous. Since yesterday, when I reported the problem in the Plex forum to this morning, a bunch more Plex free movies, etc. appeared totaling about 86 in one folder.
Thank you very much for taking the time to help. I’m 76yo and handicapped, but not so bad that I can’t take care of myself.

I tried watching one of the movies with Tom Hanks and it was TORTURE, due to all the interspersed ads! I have almost 1000 movies w/o ads, so I’ll stick to those.
