Usually I update PMS through thr FreeBSD Ports Collection, but for now, this port has a status “Last Update: 2023-11-03 07:24:55”. The version is almost 3 months old. It has never happened before. So, do you have a plan to continue update PMS this way, please?
I am the port maintainer for the FreeBSD Plex ports and not affiliated with Plex the company. I believe the current plexmediaserver port is up to date. I held off on the plexmediaserver-plexpass port as it introduced a major update to the database and wanted to be sure there were no problems before pushing to the ports tree. I will push the update to the ports tree by the end of the week.
If the port is based on the public releases, you should still be up to date. PMS version 1.32.8.7639 was released in early November. Since then, Plex have only released beta updates (jumping to version 1.40.x to reflect the major database updates).
I actually submitted a request to update the port on 30 January with Bugzilla… You can see it here… Someone who has committer rights to the port tree has to commit the changes… Usually, if it’s not picked up after a couple weeks of submission then I will post a message on the freebsd-ports mail list and ask a committer to have a look at it.
You must remember everything FreeBSD is volunteer driven. No one gets paid for their work, at least at this level… lol…
