After having limited success with the other XBMC builds for Raspberry Pi (openelec, raspbmc, and xbian), I was excited to learn about Rasplex today, so I put it on an SD card and loaded it up. However, I am having a lot of trouble with it. On the first load, I tried to go into Preferences->System, but it froze before loading the menu. I rebooted and tried to do video calibration, but it froze during this process 3 times. I gave up on that, and was just browsing around the menus, when out of nowhere I got vertical lines all across the screen, and the Pi became unresponsive. I rebooted again, and decided to test out the Netflix channel. I found a show and tried loading it - after about 15-20 seconds of waiting, it did the same vertical line thing, and again became unresponsive.
Any tips for getting this to work, or should I just wait for a future release?
I have the 512MB model, and my power supply is rated at 5V and 2.1A. Also, I didn’t overclock rasplex after installing, so unless it ships overclocked, that shouldn’t be it. Do you know what else it could be?
+1, getting freeze during video playback, 4 mins and 15 mins into movie. Full reboot required. Other Rasplex running 1.30 seems fine, freezing one is 1.32.
Both boards are Model B 512's. Will compare the two clock configs and report back.
I am having similar issue with 1.31. Model B 512 pi with class 10 SD card, acessing network over WiFi. I have notice that when the freeze occurs my Edimax wifi dongle blue light will not flash but just stay on.
we changed almost nothing between 0.1.30 and 0.1.31 (just added some modules).
It would be great to get some logs from you since I'm unable to reproduce this.
Please use pastebin or attach the logfile (I would prefer logs from 0.1.31 since debug logging is enabled by default)
(The logfile is at /storage/.plexht/temp/plexhometheater.log)
When rasplex freezes it kills my wifi. Does the bug log reset after I reboot? If so I will not be able to get the report via SSH because I have to reboot.
