I have given access to a music playlist to a friend. That friend can access it on the Windows desktop version of Plex, but cannot access it through neither Plex nor Plexamp on Android. What gives?
I think the “new experience” mobile Plex app has not yet gotten back the support for music libraries – so the library not showing up in the regular Android mobile app is to be expected (for now, Plex have announced this will be added back).
As for Plexamp… can you verify how they’re checking the library isn’t there for them?
Library selection should be possible by clicking on the library name at the top center of the home screen or via Settings > Source .
Great. So I just upgraded to Plex Pass and did not get what I was after… 
Also, not so impressed by a company that takes money and leaves a forum as the only support. But, I digress….
Plex for Android shows that I have shared “Media” but displays nothing. Plexamp for Android shows the library of music that I shared but not the playlist that I shared. And, yes, I can view the libraries.
My friend can see the shared playlist in Plex for the Web on her Windows PC.
Seems like Plex has a lot of work to do.
