Friend can't access my library. Please help

Hello. I’m fairly new to Plex. I live in the U.S. and I’ve shared my library with a couple of other people with no problems. I’ve just tried to add a friend who lives in the U.S. Virgin Islands and he can’t see my movies. I’ve double checked that he has access granted. We are both on the free accounts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (My server is on Windows 11 and he is trying to watch on an Android phone)

New requirement as of 4/29 is either the user purchases a Remote Watch Pass, or the server owner purchases a Plex Pass. Prices just over doubled on the 29th. Fun times.

If it is related to the new plans, then why can my two other friends see my libraries?

Judging by the lack of “Plex Pass” next to your forum username, if you don’t have a Plex Pass and your users haven’t purchased a Remote Watch Pass, they won’t be able to stream from you. Unfortunately that is the new reality after this ridiculous – but not surprising – change.

PLEX is forcing more people to keep paying a “one time fee” more than once on al levels of subscriptions.
We all just gotta report it to the better business bureau.
Classic updates into a bait and switch.

Unfortunately, as with the OP, it appears by your forum name that you don’t have a Plex Pass. If you’re a server owner you’ll either need a Plex Pass, or a Remote Watch Pass to enable remote functionality. I don’t like it and think it’s super shady as well, but it’s the current reality.
