Fix the trakt integration… why break it on purpose?
Had to re-install fresh plex server my original data folder somehow got messed up, any working sure fire way to get my trakt data back?
Edit: don’t worry I used this https://github.com/Taxel/PlexTraktSync after a lot of head scratching I got it to work, however I did notice after getting my data back my play history was as if I had watched everything in my library all on the same day.
The request for full integration goes back over 6 years. Until the resent change to the movie agent this plugin (https://github.com/trakt/Plex-Trakt-Scrobbler) was the best alternative. It provided push and pull watched status as well as progress. Unlike the webhook it could grab status from a Kodi install running the trakted plugin and synced it to Plex. However changes to the movievie agent has broken this function for movies. PLEASE ADD THIS TO PLEX NATIVELY! It is not like we have not been asking for over half a decade!
well done … nothing is working with trakt anymore … sucks
The only solution I have found for Trakt is to run it through Kodi and have the PlexKodiConnect addon, that way everything syncs up.
Would love native integration though, it would save a lot of additional steps.

Would love to see integration with Trakt.tv, or a equivelant cloud service from Plex for watched history called Plex Watched. So i can sync my watched history and in case of emergency sync it back from plex cloud.
I had problems with a plex docker so switched to the one from linuxserver and lost all of my progress (watched). That was a real bummer because i have a lot of series on my server and lost track of my progress. Almost lost my wife because of it ;-).

So you have to insert that link and manual install with webtools for proper functioning.
I didn’t. I installed manually. From wiki, just change the repo owner to rg9400.

Change

to:

I’d also suggest clearing the plugin cache and backing up existing plugin data before doing this. Also file permissions may need to be updated.

what is the status of this? I just paid for both vip and pass and can only use one part of it? trakt page says:
Note: Plex Pass webhooks only allow us to get new data from Plex, we can’t send any data to Plex or sync your past history. If Plex ever allows 2 way sync, we’ll be sure to support it.
The status is that no one at Plex has ever heard of trakt.
That said the old Plex trakt Scrobbler has been picked up by another dev and still works fine without PlexPass or Trakt VIP.
Hello just tried this new devs version, not working for me same problem as the old one, the cog will bring up settings panel, but you cannot click on any other part to bring up the sync options panel.
Did you authenticate it with trakt.tv?
yes but no way is the sync panel loading, without that the add on is no good
Strange. It works fine for me.
What OS are you using?
Windows 10.
windows server 2019 here, can you think of anything I have missed, Trakttv.bundle is in the plug-ins folder and I have restarted plex server, and for good measure also the server 2019 machine, and still cannot click on the plugins icon apart from loading the settings panel.
