Full Trakt Integration

I installed it through Plex Webtools 3.0.0. Maybe that was the difference.

I think that is because plugins are no longer supported. It will still sync periodically though, or when changes to the libraries are detected if you checked that option.

I’m having another problem, that it doesn’t pull anymore. Haven’t found a solution yet.

Try configuring it through the online tool.

If that was the case it shouldn’t work for me either.

What is your server version?

PMS Windows, Version 1.21.1.3830

Same here, then I’m out of ideas why yours works and ours don’t.

Did you try the online tool I posted above?

It doesn’t work out of the box for manual sync. (For that you need KItana.)
GitHub - pannal/Kitana: A responsive Plex plugin web frontend

But even without Kitana it works fine in the background after configuring the sync options/frequencies that @Dan_Bev linked.

I’m not a windows plex server user

but I would suggest diving into your plugin log folder and posting the trakt plugin log to see if anyone can help. I will say that this plugin has been hit or miss for years. Make sure there aren’t any tokens or passwords in the log before you post it too.

Mine is fully configured, it just doesn’t pull ALL watched shows/episodes just a few (or maybe the watch status of the episodes I re-added were still saved in the Plex database and it doesn’t pull at all, dunno)

Ok. You made it sound, to me, like you and @Webdoc had the same issue.

Kitana, linked above, will allow you to do manual syncs.

I been using Plex for years, updated from 1.14.xx PMS to 1.2x.xx and TraktTV nolonger works.
I have the new TraktTV script and it only works on the old library’s that were made in the old server software. The new library’s i made for LiveTV DVR recordings will not mark as watched at TraktTV but the Old library’s will. Neither will pull from TraktTV .

I noticed if i look at the Library’s and Edit them they look very different in options to setup be tween the old one and the new ones made in the newer server software.
So it seems the database has changed such that the TraktTV script no-longer work in the new servers database layout but if you updated old library’s they keep something that allows them to still work.

I hate to say it but i went back to Kodi a few weeks after getting my Plex Pass and setting up liveTV and the DVR in Plex. TraktTV support is the reason.

Plex plays nice by itself but not with others. But we all use many others besides Plex and they all work with TraktTV only Plex has issues it seems.

In actual fact the dev that ported from the original repo did it specifically to fix this issue.
The new repo works fine with Plex changes.
That said it’s a shame that as I mentioned before that nobody at Plex has heard of Trakt.
Emby, Kodi and Jellyfin get it. Sadly Plex don’t.

What I don’t understand about that statement, on Trakt home page is an ad for Plex.

Go figure

Trakt has heard of Plex and understands why people would want to use the two together.
It’s Plex that isn’t getting the connection.

Which statement and from who. If you mean my statement?
Plex hasn’t heard of Trakt. Trakt has heard of Plex.
Plex being mentioned on Trakt isn’t surprising at all. It’s far more likely than anyone who matters in the higher echelons of Plex ever having typed the word Trakt on these forums.

The fact that Plex don’t give a crap about Trakt implementation doesn’t mean Trakt should give up caring about Plex implementation.

The Trakt devs have several times offered solutions to this including (seeing as Plex has become so invested in web hooks) two way web hooks.

Go figure that Plex don’t care enough to even respond to the Trakt dev.

If you are however implying that Trakt shouldn’t advertise Plex if Plex doesn’t care about Trakt. Then perhaps Justin at Trakt is an adult?

Ok Dave, I get all that but this screenshot with a Plex ad, I can’t explain.

No idea how I missed this.
Just browser cookies I think.

Search anything on your browser and without an ad blocker and suddenly targeted adds for whatever it was with prices on eBay/Amazon.
I use Plex, I use Trakt and have no adblocker.
Plus also Trakt vip removes those ads.
Bazzinga!! :joy:

I’d really love to see this at some point.

I just want to ditch TMDB & TVDB as my ratings source and filter my smart collections by Popular/Trending/Lists. I’m not even that bothered about syncing, though it would be welcome.
