I've got to ask, but why would you want to use Trakt as a plugin?

I'm not one one to obtain pirated content, but I'm sure there are a few people on here who do, so just as a warning (do NOT pirate!) -

And why we are in that mode of leaving yourself open to possible prosecutions, I am concerned that Plex is collating what files are played, over what is fast becoming a Service, and no longer a Server management/Streaming system. All it takes is one Court case, or a subpoena for Plex database records, and some people will start having a really bad time of things.

Just be careful, eh?

I would love to see something like this or even sickbeard and sabnzbd integration.  

So you see a schedule of upcoming shows  when it hits predb that a icon shows that it is soon available for download and when downloading the status is shown in percentage or time to completion.

Similar concept for couchpotato you would see upcoming movies and then same status concept as above.

I've that article and yeah I agree this does do that if your downloading CAM rips, and watching them before release in cinema's, that's pretty stupid thing to do to be honest. As the article says, your advertising your downloading history perfectly there. Someone ripping them from DVD's, or Blu Rays would never even have to worry about the points made in the article though,
1. they have the content and own it
2. they will never scrobble it whilst still in the cinema, as it wont be on their system to watch.

I guess this applies to people downloading their content from torrents as well as DVD rippers. Don't be stupid, watch them when there released.

 Trakt recently redesigned their site, the new site no longer shows what platform a show or movie is being watched on. So this isn't really a concern anymore.

This would be awesome! Allowing roaming profiles between different servers (owned/shared) to have sync’d watch/unwatched and progress statuses

Discovered trakt about a month ago and am obsessed
 just came to the forums to make this exact feature request, but obviously this has already been thought of (in 2012 lol). Honestly this would be one of the best front end additions to plex. Personally I would love to see trakt add a “play on plex” button to all the media. Between that and the trakt plugin, I could pretty much use trakt as the front end. But yeah, full trakt integration into plex would be the ■■■■.

Definitely looking forward to something like this. Though I currently use the plugin, core support would be great. Being able to keep track of what I watch and ratings, through multiple means would definitely be convenient and key to centralizing everything.
