Completely agree! It would great to see some sort of API that allowed music listening or video watching events to be updated.

For instance, if I watch something in Netflix or Amazon Instant it still gets scrobbled to Trakt without each having to implement it themselves (similarly with music to last.fm, etc.).

As far as I am aware, that’s only possible if you watch Netflix through the web browser… which doesn’t support surround sound. Is there a way to do this on other platforms, like androidtv?

If they added Last.fm already they can add Trakt.tv without any problems. This is just because nobody told them to add this feature. I hope this will happen soon.

+1 this would be really awesome…

Would love to get native trakt integration, to backup my watched status and to have a place to analyze and check what I watched.
I’m planning to use Plex Cloud, but I can probably not install the trakt plugin :frowning:

+1 - me too

+1 here too.

++1 from me

+1, how has this been put to the side lines for so long!?

I love the idea of having something that can track my viewing across various different Plex installations (and across other media solutions).

It’s sorta the first step towards ā€œclusteringā€ Plex servers. When everyone at home is playing and syncing stuff all at once it becomes taxing on one machine. It would be nice to be able to run more than one Plex server for load balancing purposes.

Trakt is part of PLEX!

The plugin does almost all the work already +1

But not for all users. And not in Plex Cloud. And not on ShieldTV.

I wish all libraries could sync with Trakt or if Plex synced all my watched videos across all libraries that I have access to. I mainly stream videos from my friends servers and these improvements would make Plex much better.

+1 please add trakt

It should be built-in like they did with Last.fm.
