Full Trakt Integration

+1
Yes there is the plugin but this is very much done as a side project by a guy in his spare time. It would be great to get him on-board or get this as a fully baked in integration

The problem with getting the guy tha makes the plugin a full time Plex Employee is the track records of other 3rd party developers that have been absorbed by the Team. @ljunkie who developed Plex Watch, now a team member, and that app isn’t integrated yet. @Moussa who developed Transmogrify plug in for FireFox, and we don’t get those neat charts and other pertinent data in the Web App. @drzoidberg33 who started the excellent historical tracking app PlexPy, and again, that functionality is still missing from Plex Media Server.

The track record of hiring these great 3rd party developers doesn’t mean they are going to continue the work they were doing. It just provided the Team with a live resume.

+1 we need this! I move/rebuild my server far too often due to running into complications and its annoying to have all watch status’s reset because there is no way to sync them…

This would solve that…

Also TVShowTime inclusion to this would be good.

bumpitie bumpitie boo

+1 Thanks.

The ability to rate movies and shows via trakt would be cool!

Just implementing the plugin functionality would be amazing. I just want sync to work without breaking itself every couple of days.

My hope would be for full sync, so you can watch something on your server and theoretically finish watching on a friends server if needed. Same for watch statuses and etc!

Ah this so needs to happen. Trakt is a lifesaver as I often forget things I have watched before or things I would like to watch in the future. Give us at least native scrobble and rating.

+1 for this.

+1 here as well

Guys you have to like the first post in this thread. +1ing or making comments is great but it is not counted. Go like the first post

Because the plugin is not a great plugin !

plugin is no longer supported by its developer we need it!

bump! +1 !!

Trakt + Movist is the only thing that has ever encouraged me to keep track of my movie watching and ratings. Plug-in seems to have stopped working mid-January for me.

Please grab the code from github and support natively!! +2 !!

Maybe this will help someone… I just learned something interesting. I thought the plug-in was broken (has been working very well for months). But it turned out it was bad data. Somehow I ended up with more than a dozen movies that imported without YEAR in their info.

Digging through the trakttv.log file found here
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Logs\PMS Plugin Logs\com.plexapp.plugins.trakttv.log

I noticed these lines:
2018-02-03 00:14:33,982 - plugin.sync.core.task.artifacts (279c) : INFO (plugin.sync.core.task.artifacts:1159) - Invalid ā€œtitleā€ or ā€œyearā€ attribute on <u’Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy’ (None)>
2018-02-03 00:14:33,983 - plugin.sync.core.task.artifacts (279c) : INFO (plugin.sync.core.task.artifacts:1159) - Invalid ā€œtitleā€ or ā€œyearā€ attribute on <u"101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure" (None)>

So the plug-in wasn’t failing, my movies just had bad data. Refreshing the metadata in Plex on those titles, which clearly did NOT show the date when browsing or in the info panel, fixed the problem.

All is well now.

Bump… +1

This would be great since it looks like plugin dev moved along.

The request is only a few years old.
