My current tuner (Hauppauge 850) is not on the supported tuner list. Is there any indication that older Hauppauge tuners will be supported?
I want to begin using the Live TV / DVR functionality; however, do not want to unnecessarily purchase a new tuner if there are plans to support this tuner in the future.
Agree. As some one still using Windows Media Centre / XBOX 360 due to media playback and DVR, have been hoping that a simple alternate solution would become available so that can retire the now unsupported WMC. Have been with Plex for long time but have never been able to use it as sole media play until now … or so I thought. I have Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2200 (and 2210), a total of 4 tuners, which is a very common model in Australia and don’t want to go to Premium only to find have to buy new versions. If it works, I will be able to upgrade Windows and possibly the XBOX!
Would really appreciate support for Hauppauge HVR-1950 USB tuner so I could record directly to my QNAP TS-251+ NAS, and finally have a reasonable replacement to retire my 10 yr old BeyondTV / Kodi HTPC that’s still running Win XP!
Looks like plex is listening the HVR 22xx models are now supported in plex 1.7.4! Now can they also support 1600? need a tester? =)
Plex is detecting my 1600 in the logs, but it can’t go any further. It should not be too difficult to get the 1600 working.
Any luck on the 1600?
