General question regarding tv series

hey guys got a general question.
at the moment i got all 13 seasons of bobs burgers but once season 14 is out and available do i just add this is in under the current season 13 ? or should i rename the season 14 folder to the same as the previous 13 ? thanks guys

I would pick one naming standard and follow that IE Bob's Burgers - TheTVDB.com

Each season in its own folder.

Example:

/TV Shows
.../Bob's Burgers (2011)
....../Season 01
........./Bob's Burgers s01e01.mkv
....../Season 02
........./Bob's Burgers s02e01.mkv

thank you i tried it just now as a test i named season 13 folder of bobs burgers to “season 13” the rest being “bobs burgers 720p season 01” ect ect , thanks guys for replys i appreciate you both

so for instance if bobs burgers done a special id make a new folder inside the bobs burgers file which contains seasons 1 to13 named “Specials” or season 00 right ?

Yes. Please see the Television Specials section of the documentation linked above for details.

As with regular season episodes, the episode name/number should align with what is listed in TMDB or TVDB for the show.

TMDB & TVDB may have different episode orders. Also, the TVDB aired vs dvd order may be different.

Plex defaults to TMDB. To choose a different order:

  1. Edit the show (pencil icon)
  2. Advanced
  3. Episode ordering = TheMovieDB or TheTVDB Aired/DVD/Absolute.
  4. Save Changes.
  5. Refresh Metadata
