Hi. I have two questions before I look for another platform.

  1. Of course I as everyone else wants my ”home” login screen to be my own libraries, not a bunch of junk that I have to navigate away from. How do I control this in settings?
  2. Most online platforms remembers where I paused my last watch and immediately gets me to start from there. Plex seems not to, I have to start from some junk screen, navigate from that to my content and then choose my library and then the thing I watched. How do I fix this flaw?

Home Screen consists of hubs based on the libraries and sources pinned to the sidebar.
You can pin/unpin those from the sidebar (this can be different for each client (e.g. no music libraries pinned on the big screen app).
For hubs based on your libraries, you can also customize which specific hubs will appear on your Home Screen.

Plex will track the watch progress of video libraries. This can be disabled/enabled for music libraries.
In the server’s Library settings you can configure when Plex will consider a video to be fully watched (and no longer offer an option to continue from any point beyond that threshold). This threshold can be a percentage of the video’s duration or the start of the credits (if credit detection is enabled).

If you use a web browser as a Plex client:
For the above to work as described, you need to tell your web browser to NOT delete the cookies of the domain plex.tv when it is closed.
Do also forbid other “privacy”-related tools on your app to delete those cookies from your browser.
