I was just wondering about the value to this PMS registry setting. Is the value in seconds?
And also, if changed, will I need to press “delete all preview thumbnails” for them to be generated again with the new interval?
AFAIK it means how many thumbnails are generated for every minute of playing time.
Well, I don’t think that can be true since the default value is 2. That would imply a thumbnail every 30 seconds. However if you look in the dashboard when a movie is playing, it is not showing thumbs 30 secs apart. It seems more like 2 seconds.
Because of the name of the preference, I thought it had something to do with an amount of actual movie frames, but the value is too low for that, unless the value is interpreted differently somehow.
You may be right. It is the time interval between each thumbnail picture in seconds.
