Generating Media Process Will Not Restart Automatically

I have a fairly large library of moves and TV shows I just added back to a new install of Plex on my latest update of Windows 11 (wasn’t able to migrate over my old library or settings, so had to start fresh).

When I added them, the media generation began (detecting TV show intros, generating thumbnails, etc). It got about 20% done but was going to take several more days to finish, and I had to restart my computer. But now it’s not resuming from where it left off.

I’ve Googled this, and read it’s supposed to auto-trigger and just pick it up again, but it’s not. I checked my settings, and have not turned this feature off (as far as I know). I also have this set to periodically scan my library every 15 minutes. But still it won’t resume.

It will happen during the server maintenance period. Make sure you leave the machine and Plex server running during that time.
If your media are stored outside of the machine, make sure that they remain available as well.
