For some reason, the genre radio has stopped working on plexamp on my iPhone. When choosing, it sits there and spins and nothing plays. Any possible way to fix it? Running plex server on a Mac.
In what situation do you experience this?
I’ve just tried reproducing it but the song plays fine (just took a moment for the NAS disks to spin up as I haven’t used it all day – also tried some of the other radio types but no luck reproducing this).
Side note: what version of Plexamp and iOS do you use?
Using Plexamp 3.1.1 on an iPhone 6 running Ios 12.4.8.
Maybe a setting on the server that would stop it from working?
Ok, I have a new iPhone SE and it’s running 13.6 and none of the ‘Stations’ work. I have a very large library, so that could the problem, but, as I said above, it was working before. Is there a file on the Plex server that I could delete and force some kind of rebuild? Really missing the genre radio.
I don’t think there’s a central setting or file that’ll change this for you.
What do you mean by “they don’t work”? Is there no action when you click the radio, will it open but not play…?
If I choose any of the ‘Stations’ options, it goes to a black screen with the three options at the bottom and a spinning dial. I’ve let it go for as long as five minutes and nothing happens. If I hit the down arrow at the bottom, it takes me back to the Home screen. But if I click on the eighth note icon, and chose something from the Library, they play immediately. It would be nice to go to the Library, pick a genre, and have a shuffle button. Of course, that was what genre radio basically was.
any chance for a log? recreate the issue and post plexamp and server logs and we’ll have a look.

the server is unable to generate the station:

my guess would be that you might have the popularity setting turned off on your library’s advanced settings?
