Gestures in Plex for iOS

First off, you did a bang up job on the iOS version of Plex!

What I’d really love to have added is a few gesture to further improve fast forwarding of videos by swiping left. Adjusting screen brightness by swiping up or down on the right side of the screen and adjusting volume by swiping up or down on the left side of the screen.

This is what VLC and especially Infuse on iOS have added some time ago and it makes for a great and very intuitive user experience.

It also would especially help with the volume and position sliders which often aren’t particularly precise.

What I also like about the Infust gesture to fast forward and fast backward using a swipe is, if you only swipe and then remove the finger, it will go forward or back a few seconds in time. However if you swipe and then hold, it keeps going forward or backwards, which makes it very easy and precise to skip sections or to find a section where you have been, if for some reason Plex forgot (which happens from time to time).

I’m looking forward to hearing your comments on this proposal.

Totally agree. Double finger touch to pause will be nice too ! It’s quite hard to pause on an iPad without this.
