Get Plex to re-add deleted media

I deleted media files in Plex (not the original files) and now tried to readd them and they don’t show up. Tried renaming the folder… and nothing. I can’t for the life of me see where to make Plex find the media. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

perform a proper “Plex Dance”

  1. Move the media files away from a monitored location
  2. Scan files (so Plex knows they’re missing)
  3. Empty Trash
  4. Clean bundles (wipe the fingerprints - checksums and metadata)
  5. Move Back into position
  6. Scan files
  7. Observe PMS adding as new
