Getting (1) TV show to display as (4) seperate seasons, right now all episodes under 'Season 1'

Hey Guys,

I feel like I fixed this once, but can’t remember how I did it (just moved my media hard drives to a new computer). So my issue is, I have (4) seasons of a TV show, but they are being displayed under Season 1 entirely. I have a folder for each season with corresponding episodes in the folders, however, all episodes are numbered from 0-156. Is this my problem? So, say, in the Season 1 folder, it’s 0-48 …Season 2 folder is 49-87, Season 3 folder is 88-126, and Season 4 folder is 127-156. Do I need to rename the episodes numbers in each season folder so they start with ‘1’ ??? Also, for whatever it’s worth, when Plex scanned this particular show, it had matched it as a newer version of the TV show and I had fixed that …maybe that has something to do with my issue. Thanks!

It would help if you tell us one of the actual file names and what show it is. Guessing some sort of Anime

If you are going by seasons then the start of a season begins with episode 1. It doesn’t continue the episode count. if you are going to be using absolute episode numbering then don’t use season folders.

Should be if using seasons. TV/Show Name/Season 02/Show Name S02E01.mkv

If using absolute numbering with no season go into the show settings under advanced and tell it that it is using absolute ordering

It’s The Twilight Zone, Seasons 1-5 (156 episodes) …right now showing all episodes under ‘Season 1’

Your response solved my problem - thanks.
