Getting a little tired of waiting

I think that Plex is probably the best thing out there for what it does.  The user interface is much better than other services, and it is easier to setup and use in my experience.

But I'm getting quite tired of waiting for plex apps to come out for devices.  It seems like every new device I get, when I go to see if there is a plex app available for it, that particular device is in the "plex pass preview" stage and the only way to get it is to get the plex pass.  I've been waiting months and months for xbox360 and Vizio apps that are not tied to the plex pass.  I understand that plex probably wants people to buy the pass instead of individual apps, but I for one don't think I would use it enough to justify a monthly or yearly subscription.  I would gladly pay for apps that stay for the lifetime of the device.

Sorry for the rant and I understand that plex is a business and this is how they want/need to run things.  Rant over.

While I don't have any info on timelines for you on the Xbox or Vizio you can look at the Android TV release for possible comparison (maybe).

The Android TV app was released into plexpass back in June of 2014 and just recently came out of preview to be available for general purchase in March of this year.

Thanks for that.  So maybe this summer sometime...

I paid $75 for a lifetime membership of plexpass.

I also paid in 1994 $1000 for 8mb (yes Meg) of ram.

Up2U!

That's hilarious!
