Getting manual IP address settings to stick

Since changing my router, RasPlex was no longer able to see my PMS.  I changed IP config to back auto (DHCP) and it is not picking up an IP address from the router (seperate issue).  However, I now can't set IP assignment back to manual.  When I set the IP address/Subnet etc and save the settings, they don't save and the network reverts to DHCP.  I have tried this numerous times and it's just not sticking!

Am I missing something?!!

Apologies in advance if I really am missing an obvious step, but I just can't see it!  Thanks

not sure if this will help, but I have an ISP and they provide a modem.  I was having the same issue, until I called and asked them to open a "bridge" connection to my router.

Then setting an internal static ip to the machine that is running PMS, and setting up port forwarding on the router.

Hope that helps.

The auto assignment by dhcp is a separate issue I believe due to my client box being connected via a spare router as an AP to a powerline adapter from the main router. However I had this set up before on a different router with IPv4 manually configured. Now this was in a previous version of RasPlex. I wonder has the upgrade to 0.6.0 broken manual config in that the settings won’t save and it reverts to auto?

Hopefully fixed in next release.

Naah, always the same answer!  When it is done! ;)

Is it all versions of Rasplex that have trouble getting the IP settings to 'stick' or just version6?

Hi.

I'm having the same problem with mine.(0.6.0)

Not saving the manual IP settings, just reverting to DHCP when I press "SAVE".

Anybody figured out how to enter your network setting manually yet ?

Thanks.
