Getting music from Synology NAS Music folder

Hi,

I’m trying to get Plex to detect the main Music folder in my Synology NAS (DS218+) but it does not seem to work. I did a test and copied the exact music folder from the Plex Folder but Plex is still not detecting it.

The reason why I want to use the NAS’s Music Folder is that I’m using the Samsung Wireless Multiroom app. And while it detects the NAS’s Music Folder, it does not detect Plex.

Appreciate if anyone has a solution.

Thanks Trumpy81. I managed to see Plex on the Samsung Multiroom App and am able to play songs on it now. However, I still cannot see music folders that are outside of Plex (folder) on the Plex programme itself. But I guess it doesn’t matter as long as I put all my music in the Plex Shared Folder.

Are you saying not to put in the Plex Shared folder EVEN IF I have subfolders like in the picture?

I’ve moved all the media outside of Plex (folder) and it’s working like a charm!
