There are numerous posters and background picture options available for each movie, music file, etc. I assume this is stored on my computer. Is there a way to discard those not being used to make for hard drive space?
Reading past posts, I see that this is something that Plex refuses to solve. I have close to 2 thousand movies and many thousands of music files, and a plex folder at 82Gb. How is it not possible for Plex to make this feature available to us and be able to delete unused posters and background pictures? have they given a reasonable explanation or is it “our way or the high way”.
With the new movie agent we only store the selected artwork locally. We will be moving to this method for all new agents going forward.
With all the other python agents we generally store a lower quality preview version and only download the full quality one when it is selected.
