I’ve made several tests and added lots of wrong poster art. Now my library is over 2GB and I don’t need most of them. I tried to browse the Plex Media Server directory but can’t find much.
Is there a way to manually delete single posters.
Or, in alternative, delete ALL posters, so I can add them only the one I want?
Not sure the server you use but if its anything like Windows then you will be surprise at the amount posters plex will download.
The only problem I see with trying to delete all posters is i do not if plex will try and redownload them at a later time. I’ve never really tried to see what happens. Plex may redownload or may not.
Thanks for your fast reply
Yes, i’m using Windows 10, but then in the future I’ll buy a nas system i’m going to use it, leaving windows. I don’t want to manually delete all the posters for every movie, it would be crazy. I hope only that in the future the option to automatically delete everything that it is not selected will be implemented.
I like the idea of purging unused posters. They already got delete episode after xxx amount of time. Be nice if they did it for metadata too cause I really don’t need Klingon or Kryptonese language posters.
Yes, I’ve finally found where Plex stores poster images and art and it’s a full mess (they’re inside strange-named bundles). I agree there’s no point in deleting Plex own art (I’ve tried it, but it sort of mess up a bit things in the poster section of edit screen, not worth doing it).
Luckly it keeps user updated art separated, so at least I was able to delete the wrong ones I’ve uploaded.
For future it would really be good to have a way to delete at once all posters and art not used. It would save a lot of space.
