git on unraid. can someone write a little git howto?

hi all,

 

can someone help me with git? i dont get it. can someone make a little howto? sorry for beeing stupid... i fight for some hours now and i tried really. 

 

Cloning into 'PlexConnect'...
 
and there is only a "core" file, nothing more. 
 
git pull
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

and here is the really help:  the segmentation fault comes only with https!

so i used git in front instead, and its working fine. 

git clone git://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect.git
