I think this is essential if you are closing down the Chrome Web Store option, as this allows global hotkeys from Chrome so i can use Plex Web as my desktop music player. Without this version and no global hotkeys for PMP, there are no options to control playback without the app having focus.
I’m also of the opinion that global hotkeys should be a high priority if the chrome app is going away.
I love how something like this is a dead feature request. find me a media player app without global hotkey support and I’ll find you one that isn’t worth using. What a joke.
