Global hotkeys and support for media keys on PC. This is such a basic feature. Why doesn’t it work? Either for the app or web player. Please add/fix this. It’s the main reason I canceled my Plex Pass, and I know I’m not the only one who would benefit greatly from Plex utilizing this common feature.

Thank you, but those aren’t GLOBAL hotkeys. The player has to have focus (even then, a few things don’t seem to respond). Also, keyboard media keys don’t work. I know this isn’t just me, as other posters on reddit and via google searches seem to have the same issues.
Personally, it’s just a hassle to switch to the player to skip tracks, etc. while I’m working in other apps.
For music, use plexamp. It has global hotkeys for pause/next/prev at least.
While Plex still needs this at some point, this is actually a super viable solution that I didn’t know about. Thank you!! Installing now.
