Please make it VR in general!
Before DayDream there was Gear VR and Cardboard and my LeEco X820 has a LeVR Pro 1 headset, which supports CardBoard apps quite well. Cardboard VR cinema applications like VR Player [Pro] work very well on this 2560x1440 display for local content.
Whilst I can obviously use Plex to download anything I want to look at, I’d much rather prefer Plex to support VR viewing out of the box.
Nothing quite like lying in bed with a big screen

Just got my Daydream VR today, and am VERY excited to see support put in! Already pretty sweet by itself, I can only imagine 3D support in this as well, might actually be worth getting 3D movies finally!

Youtube in Daydream View is a dream!
I didn’t expect that it would be this good.
I would love for Plex to also support it so I can block out everything and enjoy my shows on long flights.
Has anyone from plex responded to this post? cmoar vr cinema was able to do this would love a more native support from the plex folks.

As others have stated before, after using Youtube in Daydream View I just knew that it was a must for Plex as well

This seems like a ‘no brainer’ feature since Daydream-compatible devices are going to proliferate since it’s built into the Android platform (beginning with v7.1) and the cost to entry if you already have the phone is low (View headset priced at $79) or even free with promotion. The market is going to explode and it’ll be a boon for Plex if they provide an early high-quality experience.
Yes please add this feature it would be amazing. Currently I can only watch Google Movies on my daydream goggles (and I only have one that Google gave me for free a about 2 years ago). I saw a video viewer on a friend of a friends setup and they had a really cool 3D view of a nice movie theater with you in the center seat and the video would show up on the screen of course. But you could turn to the left and right and look around the theater almost as if you were in an actual theater.
Either way it would be awesome if plex had a Daydream app 2D support for now and maybe possible 3D in the future.

+1 – This would be very nice if PLEX Android/iOS can have an VR mode option to split screens to be viewed with any VR headset. Imagine, I’ll be able to select and watch a movie (that had been already sync on my phone) with my VR headset during my next trip by plane… That would be very cool
I am also hoping for this to be implemented… Just got my Google Daydream for Christmas (Thanks Santa-wife!)
