+2 from my fam. Have a plex server running in a headless unraid box, and all tv already goes through a chromecast. Lets get rid of controllers 100%!
What I’m wondering is how much is Amazon paying Plex, to not get support for Google?
Everytime I get an email from Plex about new features and it doesn’t include Google Home support I get really disappointed

Google Home ability will be the feature that sways me to get a Plex Pass! Might be one of the main reasons I’ve not been using it too much as request for Netflix shows via voice is so convenient
+1, this is the only feature I have wanted for a very long time now. Keep telling myself they must be close to announcing it, but starting to lose faith. Please devs, at least announce your intent.

I’ve been a PlexPass subscriber, financially supporter of Plex!, for a while now and if we do not get Google Home integration I am thinking of dropping my PlexPass. I can understand taking a while with this integration done, but its been MIA now for way way too long.
The only explanation for such a long delay is some deal with Alexa, it seems to be the only thing that can make you ignore hundred post threads on this topic completely. This makes you look incompetent or corrupt and work against your own user base. I am not switching to Alexa just to get Plex voice control, we will drop Plex instead like many others here.
You need to talk to Amazon to get you out of this deal with the devil you’ve made, it is hurting your reputation and annoying your users.

I am more looking for Plex on Google Home for playing my (local) music files from Plex Media Server. That would be helpful and at least give access to my local music collection.
The inability of Plex to interact with Google Home voice commands is frankly ludicrous. We’re getting nothing positive in terms of comment from Plex - we’re not getting anything. I am loth to subscribe to the Alexa/Amazon conspiracy theory that has been voiced in this topic - but frankly I am beginning to wonder what is holding this back,
I would have thought that the Devs would be so eager to implement this integration, as it would be feature that’d lure ever more users.
Plex is great…Google Home is great - The two in harmony would be awesome.
Please get it together guys - at least for us Plex Pass users…who knows you might get even more folk to subscribe.
