Disappointing to see what must be Amazon politics arresting development of the Plex platform. I will drop my Plex pass if support is not added over the next couple months. Not because GH support is necessary for my enjoyment of Plex, but if I wanted to subscribe to walled garden politics there are many platforms that leverage those limitations better.
Youâll take your DVR functionality and VR and youâll like it.
Can we get any type of response from PLex as to whether this is at least in the works!?
Because of no response on this matter, Iâve cancelled my Plex Pass today.

Does anyone know a staff member, or is there any way to tag one to get some sort of answer on this? Do they even read this â â â â ?
I wouldnât hold my breathe there are basic bugs that have not been addressed in years.
Cancelled my Plex Pass recently as well. I do not use any of the additional features, only bought it to support Plex development, which is clearly lacking.
If Google Home support ever gets added Iâll re-activate my Plex Pass.

+1, would be nice if google home could play my plex music library through itself. I frequently want to play my plex music in my kitchen, but currently unable to do so (to my knowledge).
As a Lifetime Plex Pass member I am pretty disheartened by the lack of response or acknowledgment by the Plex team regarding this long overdue feature request.
Iâve been thinking about getting the Plex Pass for a long time, and this is probably the only thing that has been preventing me from doing itâŠThe lack of response regarding this is something I wouldnât expect from the Plex devs

But why? They tend to do this all the time when it comes to features that are in high demand by there customers. Is it right? No. But they often do this based on my past experiences and based on how they act and portray themselves on there own forums.
Alexa just got better commands, Iâm sure Google Home integration is right around the corner.
+1 Iâve been waiting for this to come out for awhile. Every update email I get, I scour for google assistant updates, but itâs usually about Alexa or Xbox One. =(

I just emailed customer service to ask them about this. I would encourage
everyone whoâs getting updates in this thread to do the same so we can let
them know itâs important to us and hopefully get an idea of where this is
on their list.

Customer service for who? Plex has a support email? If itâs Google support itâs a waste of time as Google doesnât give af about their own GPM/Google home compatibility issuesâŠchances are they couldnât care less about Plex.

Just adding my +1 to this, fwiw. Itâs really unfortunate that this is not getting any attention, as the Home/Chromecast (or casting directly to TVs) is such a useful mechanism. I use it all the time for Netflix for instance. Being a lifetime pass member I canât really cancel my plex pass, but I currently do not recommend plex to people because itâs missing this key integration.
