Would be a game changer for me.
There is a kind of Google Home integration, right now, At least with Android 7.0. If you search for a video you have in Plex, on the bottom it appears its banner. Clicking on it it opens Plex straight to that video. Then you must click play. Otherwise I have Plex showing in the Home suggestions the Plex videos that have already played a bit.
Otherwise an other option is to say âopen Plexâ and from there search (vocally if you like) for the video name. Then click on it and it starts from the last point reached.
PS: Never mind. I have got confused with Google Assistant or what is implemented in Android TV

Hi guys is there any update on the Google home integration with Plex? We are really waiting for this. Even some positive or encouraging communication would be nice from the Plex team.
Plex generally doesnât give ETAs or indication of planned features @babaganooj

Really donât want to use Phlex as itâs confusing to set up and doesnât use simple language to operate. Would LOVE to see Plex make their own. My Home arrives tomorrow.

I agree I tried to set up Phlex but could not get it to work and it seemed way to complicated.

Anymote app + IFTTT + Google Assistant/Home + Plex = Win
IFTTT has both the services you need: Google Assistant and Anymote.
You can install the Anymote app even if you donât have an IR blaster on your phone, as control of Plex is accomplished via IP.
I do have some luck with IFTTT integration to my Plex home theater, but it takes an awfully long time for commands to make it thru IFTTT and back. Makes it kinda silly to use. Native and local integration would be much better.

Android TV should be getting updated OS in the next month or two. With Nvidia Spot + Nvidia Shield + built in google assistant is the perfect end game. My guess is this is being worked on for android TV specifically for when spot releases. Maybe thatâs wishful thinking thoughâŠ
