+1 Please a native integration. I donāt want to download 3 or 4 apps to hack it togetherā¦not when I have YouTubeTV+YouTube+Chromecast+GoogleHome working so well alreadyā¦
+1. Count me in. Iāve been using Phlex and it works moderately well, but really need a native app. Itās just too finicky and casting is very questionable at this point. Would love to see this as a priority project. You guys rock.

Use Phlex, Its not great, but its better than nothing, it wasnāt too hard to install.
Just remember to update the php.ini with
extension=php_sockets.dll
if you use NGINX

I beg to differ. Nothing has worked just as good, if not better than Phlex. Would happily wait for the Plex team to get their actās together and release this.
Just in case anyone doesnāt know, you can perform basic pause/play/next video functions with Google assistant already if you have a chromecast. Via a computer or Plex Android app, I start the stream to my chromecast (called āTVā) and am able to control it with my Google Homes by saying things like:
āHey Google, pause on the TVā
āHey Google, resume on the TVā
āHey Google, skip this video on the TVā
I found this out the other week and it made my life so much simpler so I thought I would share.

Sad, and to think, the only thing keeping me (and likely others) from a PlexPass is support for this. Once in place, especially with the upcoming podcast support (any word on audiobooks?) a PlexPass will be purchased. Until then, Iām always open to other servers if needed.

+1 I would love this and quite frankly I am surprised that this is not being worked on. The Plex team of developers have written the Amazon Alexa skill and I am thinking Google Assistant is not too far removed from that. Weāve got Logitech Harmony, Philips Hue Lights, Nest Thermostat, Wi-Fi Sockets and CCTV Cameras all controllable by Google Assistant. Come on Plex devs, get on this Smart Integration please!
The fact that this isnāt supported yet in 2018ā¦ youāre kinda behind and iām gonna start looking for other solutions.
