We’ve started noticing there are several movies in our library that Plex will no longer play on our Google TVs. These are movies that we’ve previously watched on the same TV setups, so it leads me to believe that one of the updates on the TV side or the Server side has started causing this…
“An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.”
Our entire Plex library was ripped using MKV with no further modifications to the files. So far, the movies we noticed are giving us the error are…
- Elf (Blu-Ray)
- Back to the Future 1, 2, & 3 (Blu-Ray)
- Coraline (Blu-Ray)
Playbacks are still working fine on Google Pixel phones and Tablet, but when I attempt to Cast to the Google TVs from the mobile devices, I get the same error. I attempted some Google searching last night and there seemed to by a lot of discussion with errors related to audio settings, but none of my attempts adjusting these settings solved the issue…
- Plex TV App Audio Passthrough Settings
- Movie Playback Audio Stream Settings
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
