Google Workspace Enterprise Standard

Hello

I am considering switching my old GDrive over to Google Workspace Enterprise Standard. My Plex library is being fed from there, and before switching I was wondering if there is somebody that actually has done this before? My GDrive obvioulsy is unlimited, library size is around 260 TB - Enterprise Standard is advertised as “as much as you need” storage, which in my book is the same as unlimited.

Does anybody have first-hand experience doing such a switch? Did the data remain available just the same, have there been any issues (connecting to Plex, rclone etc) and, most important of all, is everything still unlimited?

Any advice/pointers/help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

I switched late last year (my motivation was that I didn’t want to wait until some sales rep would contact me by the time they would require everyone to switch to a new plan). No changes so far (apart from the usual UI changes in the admin console). No issues, no warnings, still “unlimited” and I still can stream content from it

FYI?

Nothing is free forever. There have been offerings like this before from other companies.

Eventually they come around and want to be paid because 260 TB, consumed by a single, versus hundreds or thousands of, user is a pretty unsustainable business model – UNLESS that person is paying for it. True?

Google Workspace Enterprise is not free. Google has simply never enforced the minimum 5 users rule for unlimited storage.

Thank you ! I was unaware! :+1:

Thanks for the feedback. Judging by what you say there were no issues at all, so I might make the switch… unlimited storage is even promised in their latest email if I were to do the change.
