Definitely +1 on this request. Being a saga fan, my collection becomes quite unmanageable with time. My comment might not add much to the discussion but I hope it helps keeping focus on the feature request.
I guess we can create another collection called “All Other” movies not in any particular collection and view that from the collections sort. Sucks though.

With a lot of properties branching out into expanded universes I think it would not only be beneficial to group movie properties together but also be able to have have movies and television shows in a Single folder. For example I’d like to have The marvel Movies, Netflix and TV series all in the same group. Same with Star Wars and the animated series.

History and countless threads have demonstrated that age or popularity of a request seemingly has very little impact on Plex’s priorities. If some Plex employee working on this right now is offended by this comment, then perhaps it’s time to rethink Plex’s policy of refusing to give its customer base any sense of what’s upcoming and in the pipeline.
+1 I see the use of this feature based on Fast and Furious Series
+1 for this feature.
+1 for this feature.
I love Plex
But when you have alot of films this feature is a must have.
The film tab in my plex is prety much useless as it is now.
A quick fix could be to use the “by folder” view, and ad the poster for the first movie in the folder, instead of the black folder icon. Then I would be able to set it up as I want by the use folder structure.

I dont understand why Plex fails so badly at communicate with its users or listen to feedback from us. Implementing popular or long outstanding feature requests would be fantastic but even just an acknowledgement and a timeline/roadmap of where we are heading…

Seems like a no-brainer. Would love this
+1 This has been requested for about 5 years at least. Will Plex not at least acknowledge it?

Why would you expect that? Plex is secretive and virtually never discusses or even hints at what is coming.
Sometimes I think that Plex is actually an offshoot of the NSA or CIA or some other, even more secretive, agency like the Banks or the Phone company. (See “The President’s Annalist” ) They may (in fact probably are) actually be a completely separate organization outside all government control or oversight bent on world domination through the control of our media. The rich media moguls actually in control of Plex are willing to work slowly and when they actually gain control we will not really notice much difference.
The end is closer than we think!!! =)) The world as we know it ends at 10:00, details at 11:00. :)>-
+1 I think the James Bond collection is a perfect example 20+ movies that I would love hide behind a single poster, as I prefer to browse through all movies.
I was planning to ask exactly how to do this
My son throws a fit because all his Kungfu Panda series are all over the place. Plex team may take offence or not, but this is a serious gap in functionality. People have figured out some sort of work arounds that seem to work for them but in reality, this is a missing feature.
Plex, if you are listening, please implement this. (As if this plea is going to work. But oh well, I tried).
It’s never going to happen
+1 for this feature.
This feature would be awesome! Shouldn’t be that hard to implement since the logic already exists for tv shows?
