I want to be able to group movies together so that when in my movie folder I choose the group instead of the film and then I get to where they are all stored. For Example:
I have the old Narnia movies, they are grouped in to episodes. I don’t want each episode to show up as it’s own movie. Is there a feature for this? (or should I add it in to TV series instead, a solution that I really don’t want)
Also for example the Harry Potter movies. They take up so much space, would love to have them in just a group…
You CAN get them together - all in a row - and you CAN create libraries to hold your Collections, Boxed Sets and Sequels, but it doesn’t happen the way you want it to. It never has and probably never will - considering the number of years and thousands of posts and feature requests that have simply been ignored - leaving you, the user, to do something else that does work… like this:
why is this so hard ? you do it in tv shows ? or you could make it so folder/dir show up as an option in library setup ?
so you could have all your movies in one dir and movie saga’s in sub folders set up like tv shows libraries. and set it up so you can shut it on or off in library setup ,
Plex development team is a bit autistic. They typically spend a lot of time and effort on features that nobody has ever asked for, and things like this are ignored.
We just have to accept that if a seemingly obvious feature is missing, then we just have to learn to live without it.
