Plex version 1.13.8.5395
I just had a recording progrmmet yearlier today, and it was recording it according to plex.
I went in and watched it live at the same time.
Now after the show, the recording is marked as failed, and I don’t understand why?
The tuner was set, and I saw it live, but the recording part is not stable, and fails intermittently.
I’ve found out a bit more about this, and THIS is interesting.
It seems to be sort of a bug in Plex.
After a recording, I will see messages in the recording overview that says “yellow triangle: recording was 0 minuttes” or something like that.
If I then go to the library on the server, and looks in it, I can see a folder called .grab
In that folder I can see the file being stored, not in real time, but it does store it.
When it’s done, it will move the file to from the .grab to the library, and then the recording will be set as succeeded.
So in the transcoding time, it will be marked as failed, and then after, it will be marked as good. Maybe it should be marked as ‘processing’ instead.
